Since I joined my first challenge last year I've read a greater variety of books, more classics, more genres. I remember toward the end of last year feeling trapped, so I held back on the number and type of challenges I joined this year. However just today I joined 3 more challenges. Two were mini challenges of only two books each the other was a commitment of 10 books from the Guardian's list of 1000 Novels Everyone Must Read Before They Die. That makes a total of 11 challenges. Two of them will be ongoing, Books Around the States and Books Around the World. My personal challenge, the 5x4 Challenge, includes 4 books in 5 areas that I don't normally choose books from. These of course will all go toward my goal of 100+ books this year. The rub is that I don't plan out my reading just buy or check out anything that catches my fancy. I figure I had better start planning if I want to get these all in. So.........
ON MY NIGHTSTAND FOR THE REST OF MARCH:
Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society (Audiobook Challenge, 100+ Challenge, Library Challenge)
Tarzan and the Golden Lion (5x4 Challenge - Books older than me on my shelf, RYOB Challenge, 100+ Challenge)
Robinson Crusoe (Daniel Defoe Mini Challenge, Audiobook Challenge, 100+ Challenge, Library challenge)
Bleak House (5x5 Challenge - Classics, Guardians 1000 Novels Challenge, RYOB Challenge, 100+ challenge)
The Life and Times of the Thunderbolt Kid (5x5 Challenge-nonfiction, RYOB Challenge, Audiobook Challenge, 100+ Challenge)

I have never read "Robinson Crusoe." That is just shameful.
